Mexico

Me with my Arrington Grandparents in Mesa Arizona right after my trip (Could have photoshoped the fly but ehh, ya know)

Earlier this year I went to visit Southern Mexico. What a fantastic place! Some of my favorite places in the world are now the little towns surrounding Oaxaca and on into Chiapas. People exist in the most bizarrely startling of circumstances yet manage to remain happy, busy, generous and kind. The basic needs we all have, attention, love, caring, spirituality + the essential ones to survive, when fulfilled create the optimal environment for true abundance and prosperity regardless of the circumstances we may be in.

The Tule tree, one of the largest trees in the world. Although many legends surround the Tree's history one that was told me really caught my attention, it went something like this: Thousands of years ago the Great White Star God came to visit the people in the area at that time and he took a staff, (which grew into the Tule Tree) stuck it into the ground and made prophesies concerning the place and the people. Whatever the true history, it is a beautiful tree and the spot carries a beautiful sense of peace and calm.

A few pictures of Mitla and some of it's secrets.

My trip was absolutely wonderful. I learned things that are not possible or appropriate for me to express. I know that the Lord loves each of his children as individuals in ways that warrant his infinite attention and shepherding (hard for me to admit but, even the evil ones). The most profound spiritual experiences are not grandiose in any way. There is no such things as "one above another". If you are gifted and successful in any good way it is not for comparison sake, but to uplift those who are wandering, those who are in need - for each person is a part of it all, each a vital piece of the puzzle without which would leave the plan lacking in unspeakable ways.
